Tom Ogonowski (White Sox)

My name is Thomas Ogonowski.  I’m 37 years of age, residing in the beautiful country of Canada. I am very excited to join Prospects1500 this year, covering the Chicago White Sox prospects. My passion for prospects escalated about 10 years ago, and today I eat, breathe, sleep prospects. I am also a die hard fantasy player, and with top prospects such as Ronald Acuna, A.J Puk, Fernando Tatis Jr., Luis Urias, Mike Soroka, Luis Robert, Franklin Perez, Sixto Sanchez on my minor league squad, future is bright.

My passion for baseball in general started Saturday, October 23, 1993, with the famous line from Tom Cheek, “Touch ‘em all, Joe!”  Joe Carter’s famous bomb that gave the Jays the 1993 World Series changed me forever. I remember watching the game with my brother, at the young age of 13, when Joe smacked that dinger, we started jumping up and yelling, only to hear our mother “Get to bed! Do I have to go up there?”  It was late but that memory will stay with us forever.

I live about an hour from Toronto and was also fortunate to be present when Edwin’s 11th inning bomb led the Jays into the 2016 AL Division Series.  There is nothing more electric than to be part of these historic moments. With the world so divided, sports is the one thing that can bring us all together.

Covering Chicago White Sox prospects for Prospects1500. Avid baseball fan, as well as a fantasy sports nut. Participant in over 6 keeper leagues and close to 20 standard leagues. Huge Colts fan. Husband of 2 years to my lovely wife Krista. Resides in Ontario, Canada.
