Isaiah May (White Sox)

There is a good chance that you’ve landed on this page in one of two ways.

You’re my mother and have Googled me and clicked on anything with your son’s name on it; or you are interested in baseball prospects, for fantasy or otherwise.

If this is my mom, please run the anti-virus scan I showed you at Easter. For all others, welcome. It’s why I’m here, too.

My love for fantasy baseball began two years ago when I was invited to play in the longest-running league in Northeast Nebraska. Playing amongst more than two lifetimes of baseball knowledge, I instantly started on the path to catch up, consuming whatever information I could. In 2018, after back-to-back 10th place finishes for The Tight Buchholz, my co-manager and I decided to construct a burn-it-to-the-ground rebuild, eventually adding more than 30 minor-league prospects to our 40-man roster. I fell in love with it and crushed hard on guys like Eloy Jimenez, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and Brendan Rodgers. I’m starting to believe my legacy will be getting Juan Soto at 2 a.m. on opening-day as a free-agent pickup, which to be honest, I can live with.

For me, minor league baseball contains all the stories, the sport and a comfort in quirkiness that I want to apply to my life. There are successes, there are heartbreaks. It’s business sure, but most of all it’s passion. And I’m excited to share my experiences, observations and often irrelevant opinions living that minor-league lifestyle.

In my day job, I play a marketer for a critical-access hospital. At home, I’m a recently married puppy-poppa who enjoys cooking, the Rockies and participating in life’s littlest moments.

If that’s your bag of tea, feel free to follow the tweets @wifflemay, or better yet, bookmark this site and support not just my ego, but all the writers here. I’ll primarily be covering the Chicago White Sox minor league system but also hope to branch out and provide some other MiLB content.

Thank you for having me, and I look forward to educating and hopefully entertaining each and every one of you.
