Drew Bonner (Braves)

Hey prospect nerds, I’m Drew Bonner and I will be covering John Coppolella’s prospect merry-go-round from a fantasy baseball perspective. I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama in Braves Country and have been a Braves fan for as long as I can remember. During my high school summers, however, I spent my time in Birmingham’s old Hoover Met, working for the White Sox AA affiliate, the Birmingham Barons. Now, living in Atlanta, I get to see the big-league Braves on a pretty regular basis. The move to SunTrust Park puts them much further away from me, but I will surely Brave the traffic several times per year.

In real life, I am the Store Manager for Atlanta’s Habitat for Humanity ReStore (check out your local ReStore if you have never been to one) and have been married to my beautiful wife for 3.5 years. I am a graduate of Auburn University, where I first started spouting off sports knowledge as a radio host on WEGL 91.1 War Eagle!

As for fantasy baseball, I have been playing since right after Y2K. My keeper/dynasty experience started with a 3-sport keeper league that is preparing for its 14th season. Most recently, I am a member of 3 leagues in the Diamond Duos franchise, having taken home titles in both DD1 and DD2. This year, I adopted an orphaned DD3 team with hopes of turning it around. In my prospect analysis, I am a perpetual seeker of upside and high end prospects. Low-K innings eaters and defense-dependent position players beware! I look forward to diving into the Braves Top 50 shortly, but I’m sure Coppy will trade or acquire 10 guys before it goes to publishing.
