Jeff Rush (Phillies)

I’m a Pennsylvania native who relocated to Seattle, WA as a teen. Through routine trips to the Kingdome, I quickly became a fan of the hapless Seattle Mariners. Now residing as a small business owner in Brooklyn, NY, I attend as many Mets games as possible, but always with an eye on the scoreboard, keeping track of my beloved, hapless Mariners.

I first began playing fantasy baseball over 20 years ago, back when a stack of magazines were a must-have on draft day and waiver wire claims needed to be called in to the commissioner’s answering machine before midnight. My inclination to be a homer always landed me Griffey or the Big Unit, which got me far in those early years. The Mariners have made it difficult to continue that trend, however, which has helped me become a more well-rounded fantasy player.

I chose to cover the Philadelphia Phillies farm system for Prospects1500 because of my familiarity with the region as a child and my close proximity to four of their minor league parks. Making the decision easier is the fact that they’ve got one of the most loaded systems in baseball, which has made compiling their prospect list a lot of fun.

Jeff Rush is a small business owner and obsessed fantasy baseball fan living in Brooklyn, NY. He attended the earliest Scranton-Wilkes Barre Red Baron’s games as a child and now spends his subway rides in NYC listening to Tacoma Rainiers broadcasts. He owns Trea Turner as a 15th round keeper in a forever league and is never letting him go.
